Cora Coralina
The ground, the pan and the text
Keywords:
Cora Coralina, identity traits, autobiography, poetic images, boundaryAbstract
The study aimed to analyze Cora Coralina’s poems distributed in three books to recognize identity traits of her literary work. This corpus’ study highlights, supported by Philippe Lejeune in O pacto autobiográfico (2014), the presence of autobiographic elements in Coralina’s poems as an enhancer for her poetic expression. From the book titled Cora Coralina: raízes de Aninha (2015) by Clóvis Carvalho Britto and Rita Elisa Seda, our study lists and analyses most frequent poetic images. Transposing the author’s work as a confectioner to poetry, these images are taken from poetic context to be integrated into texts.
