Abstract

In this study, we reflect on the intimate relationship between time and discourse in the novel A festa (1976), by Ivan Angelo. We point out the connection between time and (con)formation of the individual, in order to discuss how the inclusion of the present time (now), a proposal seen as impossible, is concretized in the narrative due to the use of structural devices.
