The status of the photographic image in contemporary literature
Keywords:
Contemporary literature, unspecificity, photography, Carlos Henrique Schroeder, Isabela FigueiredoAbstract
Natalia Brizuela, in her book Depois da fotografia, brings the notion of “literatura vindoura” to comment on a current form of literary creation that seeks to infect itself with other artistic practices such as photography. In order to discuss the relationship between narrative and image, this essay will proceed with an analysis of two productions by contemporary authors, As afinidades eletivas, by Carlos Henrique Schroeder and Caderno de memórias coloniais, by Isabela Figueiredo , aiming to explore photography as a resource that, along with the text, expands the fictional universe and makes “progredir a ação” (BARTHES).
