This study aims to elaborate a practical intervention activity of mediation of literary reading experience favorable to the debate of themes that allows students to know and value ethnic and racial plurality, contributing to the improvement of teaching-learning process. As a methodological strategy, the reading of the literary text will follow the steps proposed by Eagleton (2017) and the moments of interpretation (COSSON, 2009). Thus, considering the humanizing character of literature, it is expected the proposed activity awakens a new perspective at the problem, collaborating with the deconstruction of racist discourses.
